DIAS Memorial Fund Stores

The Institute has two technical equipment stores viz, NIM Store and Dias Memorial Fund Store. Equipment from NIM store are provided to trainees who come to the Institute for training.

To facilitate teams from both India and abroad who come to this region for mountaineering, the Institute provides technical equipment from the Dias Memorial Fund Store on nominal hire charges.

NOTE:

 

  • For the issue of items from NIM’s DMF store applicant has to provide an affidavit of Rs 50 stamp paper.

  • Also 50% of the total hire charges will have to be deposited in advance and remaining 50% will be paid at the time of returning of equipment / goods.

 

 

DIAS MEMORIAL FUNDS STORE’S RULES

 

  • Expedition leaders are advised to write to Principal NIM well in advance of their requirement of essential gear.

  • Equipment are booked on first come first serve basis.

  • Equipment are hired out and accepted back in the Dias Memorial Fund Store during the working days only. Dias Memorial Funds Store remains closed on Holidays and Sundays.

  • Equipment are issued only after the intending party has deposited 50% hire charges in advance along with a copy of IMF approval for the expedition.

  • Parties permitted to draw equipment are required to deposit the hire charges in Cash/Bank Draft in favor of TREASURER, DIAS MEMORIAL FUND STORE on State Bank of India Uttarkashi before issue of the equipment.

  • Equipment office will not issue equipment unless a cash receipt from Accounts sections for deposit of Advance is produced.

  • Equipment will not be issued/received in hurry. Expedition parties are advised to spare reasonable time to check and test their gear before collection/return of equipment.

  • No equipments shall be accepted through the representative of NIM staff. It shall be the responsibility of the Expedition Leader/Member to ensure that the equipment is returned in full and in a well maintained condition.

  • No equipment will be replaced by the team.

  • In case of loss or damage of the equipment, full market price will be recovered from the party concerned. In case of foreign equipment the latest catalog price shall be charged after converting it into Indian currency value as on that day. In the absence of catalog price, 200% of actual cost will be charged.

  • All Expeditions Teams and users are requested to care and look after the equipment and not misuse it in any manner.
