Admission Procedure

​

For admission in any course at NIM one must be physically and medically fit and can apply online. Before applying, download all the relevant forms viz. Medical Form (to be verified by any MBBS doctor), Indemnity Bond from the website.  Both the forms along with Age Proof Certificate, ID Proof and Previous Course certificate (if applicable) are required to be uploaded while applying online. All the uploaded documents must be submitted in hardcopy at the time of reporting.

​​Fees must be paid online without which online applications will NOT be accepted.

​

Seats are allotted only on a 'First Come First Serve' basis and admission to the course is rejected if:

• Any of the forms is incomplete or not verified

​

​• Identity certificate is not clear or not relevant.

​

Important Note:

​

1. Training fee is subject to increase 10% every year and further may change time to time as per the directions from the Ministry.

​

2.Training fee can be remitted ONLINE only. (Fees can also be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favor of Nehru Institute of mountaineering, Uttarkashi is a candidate is applying through offline mode).

Other Details​

​

Fee includes: Expenses on food, accommodation, equipment, transportation, medicines and other training expenses during the course.

​

Admission to Foreigners: Have to report to the institute's admission section one day in advance along with the Passport and valid Visa for direct admission into a course. 

​

Armed Forces & Para Military Personnel: Serving Armed forces, Para Military, and NCC Personnel, should apply through their respective Service Headquarters and Departmental Channels. They can also however apply as private trainees.

​

Repetition of Course: The courses conducted in NIM are subsidized and the vacancies are limited. Repeating a course by an individual leads to the denial of opportunity to someone else. So, the repetition of the course is NOT ALLOWED and may lead to legal actions against the candidate found repeating a course.

​

This Institute also conducts special courses which can be customized as per requirements for schools and establishments on a full-cost basis. These are open and anyone can apply for their confirmation.

​​

​Arrival: Trainees must arrive an evening before the commencement of the course. Late arrivals even by a day will not be permitted to join the course.
